About the Author
Corinne has written and illustrated a children’s picture book series about her character, eepworm. In the series, eepworm helps children manage strong emotions, while being a comfort item as a real toy. Right now, the series includes My Friend EEPWORM and EEPWORM's Emotional Day, but she plans to continue writing more books in the series. She has also collaborated with Diane Goyette, owner of Early Childhood Specialties, to illustrate the eeper book, I'm an EEPER.
"When I was a child, I often had intense emotions. I wondered why, and I later learned I have brain disorders like ADHD and autism. Feeling overwhelmed and alone, I created the eepworm character to be a calming tool and a friend. I loved how my eepworms felt like a hug in my hand! With my adorable and comforting friends, I could deal with my strongest feelings. As an adult, I wrote this book to help children (and adults) everywhere." — Corinne Goyette Corinne has lived with many brain disorders all of her life, such as autism and ADHD. She hopes that as her character and comfort item helped her as a child, more children can be comforted as well. That is why she wrote her eepworm® book series and continues to advocate for the importance of mental health in children: she knows how they feel. |
My Friend EEPWORMWritten and IllustratedThis book delightfully demonstrates how an eepworm® toy can provide companionship, comfort, and calming. Children will enjoy hearing the story and having an eepworm® toy of their very own!
I'm an EEPERIllustratedThis little booklet tells the story behind our eeper fidget toys. They were designed to be cute, cuddly comfort items with eyes (eepworm toys), but their eyes were not attached as securely as we wanted. We think they can still be useful and fun, so we created eepers as a way to "make lemonade out of lemons" as the saying goes.
